Conference Speaker & Presenter Information


Candice L. Robinson, MD, MPH

Dr. Robinson received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She completed a General Academic Pediatrics fellowship at Vanderbilt University, during which she obtained her Masters of Public Health. She began her public health career with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer assigned to Arizona Department of Health Services and Maricopa County Department of Public Health. She is currently a medical officer in the Immunization Services Division, within CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD).  In her current position, she serves as the CDC lead for the Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule Work Group of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and provides immunization education to providers.

Bill Cosgrove, MD

Dr, Cosgrove is a retired pediatrician, who now only sees patients one half day a week at a free clinic. He has been a staunch advocate for immunizations since 1985, and currently serves on the USIIS Steering Committee, the Greater Salt Lake Immunization Coalition, and the Utah Scientific Vaccine Advisory Committee.

Tamara Sheffield, MD, MPA, MPH

Dr. Tamara Sheffield is the Medical Director for Community Health and Prevention and the Medical Director for the Community Pharmacy Immunization Program at Intermountain Healthcare and chairs Intermountain’s adult and pediatric immunization committees.

Dr. Sheffield is a past liaison to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and is currently a member of the ACIP Influenza Subcommittee. She chaired the group that developed the Utah State immunization registry and currently chairs the Utah Adult Immunization Coalition.
